Hey guys!

I am planning to buy a few new rods here and was wondering on what your opinions were? I have a 10 ft pro angler and love it-- I was wondering if anyone here has any of the whisker seeker rods and how they compare?

I have both the pro anglers I really like if money was not a factor I would have all Chad Furguson they are not as heavy and the action with circle hooks are really good. I have the MH tip and use it for both channels and blues.

My dozen pro anglers include 6 of the first twenty medium action!!! They are still used up to five times a week.

I own both. The pro anglers are my favorite, but the Chad Ferguson rod is nice. I like the composite rubber and cork handle. For the price the pro angler is a hard rod to beat they are tough and handle the abuse.

I have several Rippin Lips rids, both casting and spinning in medium heavy action. Really like them a lot and price is great. Got them on Amazon with free shipping.

I strictly use PA rods personally. I still have two in use that were run over by a truck when they were still in the plastic and flew out of my boat 3 years ago. I also use them for reds, sharks, and anything else that swims in fresh or salt water. The Medium actions are my favorite.

I second this. I have 2 PA mediums, 4 Med-hvy, and 2 Heavy WS.
PA's are great for the price and also a great all around rod.
I've also tested a med-hvy WS right beside my med-hvy PA, and they are very similar power but the WS has a little faster action, which I like. Being that the med-hvy WS felt so identical to the PA, I went and ordered 2 of the Heavy WS and couldn't be happier. They feel like the perfect blend of power/action imo. Only time will tell if they hold up, which I believe they will. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I have both and they both work good, my Buddy has Warrior Cat rods and like them better than his PA.
The cost more than the PA but the eyes are heavier duty and the have an aluminum reel seat and cork handles.

I'm not paying twice as much for a rod if it's not twice as good. Rippin lips on Amazon 40 bucks free shipping.

I'm in the same boat and still testing them and going to try and get another eight years out of em. At the time I purchased them I considered them to be the best bang for the buck. I still feel that way, you can pay more for similar unproven latest and greatest gadgets and hope for the best.

I sure wish somebody still sold the PA rods over on my end of town (Lewisville/Denton).

I'd like to get 3 or 4, but cant stomach the shipping charges. =/

I had a PA rod and it was MILES better than the $13/Academy Trophy Catfish I seem to have standardized on.
