Mine is a 10" Slidemaster and I like the idea of mounting the ducer there for no other reason than protection. Just never seen one mounted there but I'm sure the folks at TransducerShieldSaver have all the answers. Thanks buddy for the help.

Transducer shield on the jack plate is a nice option as you do not have to drill into the hull. I installed one on a TZX190 and it worked very well.

Thanks buddy, you wanna come help me install it ? thumb

Just kidding, I installed both the console and bow units I have now so I'm ok. After the advice I got on here from everyone I'm going to mount the ducer on the jack plate this time. You like that idea ?
Saw you said the last stack at Monti was shutting down the 4th. I read somewhere it wasn't shutting down until the first week in February but you can read/hear/see anything these days.

I have a skeeter zx21 and the hds9 transducer is mounted to the jack plate with the shield and saver. It works well with no issues.

Thanks, yes I've had several tell me that's the way to go. I'm calling Tuesday a.m. and ordering the shield saver that mounts to the jack plate. I wanna do it right the first time.
