Was at the lake yesterday and this same conversation came up... I’ve never seen one either, but I’m sure they have to be in there.. too much rock not to be. I don’t even take a jog to the lake when I go there though...

Before the lake closed down, a black or black/blue jig was a favorite of mine. I have tried a lot of different colors without any sucess in the last couple of years. Thanks for your input.

I was talking with Bighead about fishing Squaw Creek and he said you have to make a reservation.
So I went to the site and checked the rules.
They charge $30 fee to get in ??
You have to pay that ever time you go ??

Is the fishing there worth it ??

I would not care to spend $30 to get skunked, I can get skunked on Lake Waco for free. roflmao

A lake is a lake. You have to figure out how to catch fish on all of them.
However, squaw can be a great deal in the winter.
