Catch lots of fish.....when the bite is slow, your adrenaline is MIA, and you get cold. Catch a few real fast and you will feel warmer. Sounds like me when I make a couple consecutive bogies. Off comes the warm gear! I’m pssssed!
If you can't find em wind em.

It's not cold yet. But when it does get cold, I will wear thick socks, insulated rubber boots. I don't like fishing with gloves on but if it's in the 20s I will wear a pair of the neoprene gloves called Glacier Gloves by BPS, they have the finger slots on the thumb and index finger that you can peel back and stick out of the way with Velcro, just remember the Velcro hurts when you wipe your runny nose. Stick the hand warmer on the back of the hand. Most all of your blood vessels come in on the back side of your hand. Keep that side warm and the fingers and palms will not have a problem. Then for the body, just layer up, thermal underwear, clothes, sweat top, and a good pair of insulated coveralls. I fished a tourney last year at Squaw on January 7th and it was 9 degrees at launch. Never felt cold unless I was running down the lake and I did wear a Save Face Face shield. Caught the first fish and went to put it in the livewell and the livewell hoses were frozen, I took my weigh in bag and filled it with water to fill the livewell, after about an hour later the pump started working.

[quote=GIG'EM AGGIES]Go ahead and call me a wuss if you want but I ain't getting out in this 30* weather.[/dinosaur Why do you have to take gloves off to fish?
You're probably better at it than me but I don't cast well with gloves on. I use Garcia 4600c Your not a wuss.......dinosaur maybe, but not a wuss . Have to agree that the worse part of layering clothes is taking a leak. Royal PITA.

How I keep warm without gloves, coveralls, boots, motor cycle helmets, etc. waiting for the next heatwave? Lol. Just messin. By the time your dressed warm enough, you can't move, much less fish. I think I understand the ice fishing ...you know ..with the little 2' rod and just jiggin? No real moving required. Ha

Ha I can take the ribbing Steez, there was a time when it didn't get too cold for me. Always been an outdoorsman but I've done it enough that I'd rather do something else on days like this. I've hunted, fished and played golf in some real miserable weather. Fished a tournament on Sandlin once when the bilge pumps ran the battery down and had to jump start the big motor. Tornado hit Rayburn once when I was fishing a tournament. Not interested in doing that anymore. I plan on playing golf or fishing tomorrow. Forecast is for a high of 50*, I can handle that.

Try rubbing BenGay or Icy Hot all over your body and be sure to get your nads really good.

Bought some wool glove liners and 2XL nitrile gloves. I have large hands but the nitrile gloves fit well over the liners. Hands stay warm and dry. Can fish fine with these on ,not so bulky.

and wear your PFD the whole time. You fall into 50 degree water with all these clothes on and you're going to lock up before you can get enough clothes off to get back in the boat.

I layer up and then put my rain gear on over it for wind protection when running. Salt Armour has thick winter style buff that I have began using and they are really good along with a beanie(gives you double ear protection). Sorry no useful info for feet. I have yet to find a way to truly keep my feet warm. After a while they just go numb no matter what I do.

I've never tried them but I would think ski googles would be nice. or maybe something a little cheaper for those just starting out in the cold.
