Merry xmas to all. We stopped at the Guad on the way back from San Antonio. No trout for me, but I did get this smallmouth??? on my second cast...

Be safe on the road Capt. Mateo and I looked back and we were already hitting sandbass in two rivers at Christmas last year. We don’t have as much water this year but we are going to make a run. Sabine should be full swing in 5 weeks as well!! Fishing should be great when we warm up again just have to constantly remind yourself to fish painfully slow lol.

Turf dawg good to see you around! Nice glitchmo yep guad is loaded with smallmouth. The scenery is not as good but smallmouth fishing rivals the Devils River there.

Turf dawg good to see you around! Nice glitchmo yep guad is loaded with smallmouth. The scenery is not as good but smallmouth fishing rivals the Devils River there. I thought so, just got a bit thrown off by the lack of stripes... If you ever want company for some DFW area white bassing, let me know

I broke in my new fly rod on the Brazos on Christmas morning. It was cold but I had the river to myself and I managed to trick a few of them into taking a nymph.

Glitchmo we will see how the rivers shape up in flow around town. I have been known to catch two or three Sandbass here there! Fwbanger nice Christmas fish glad you got into a few!
