Saturday morning Gar1970 and I headed out to fish the Nueces. Our daughter Robyn joined us. We started off kinda slow but as the day went by it got better. We were finding crappie by weed beds and by trees.

We ended up with a basket full, turned out to be a good Saturday. Christmas Eve we headed out again same river. The day started out beautiful, sunny but the fish were kinda slow at bitting. We found them around a dock and trees. We fished all day and also celebrated Gar1970 birthday.

There were these tiny tiny living things in the water, i have no clue what they were maybe somebody out there on the fishing forum does.

We ended up with 23 crappie and 2 bass. I still felt like we hadn't fished enough wink so we headed out again on Christmas day. We were in the water by 2, yea kinda late but still ended up with 6 crappie and 2 bass. We threw back a few dinks. It turned out to be a wonderful weekend, fishing and hanging our with my bestfriend. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Those tiny living things are usually plankton clouds....the food chain in action. Nice trip!

Great way to spend Christmas. Been wanting to go myself. But, had too much stuff to do before Christmas. Now that I have a few days off the weather is not cooperating. Great Job.
