Turned out great bud! Love the lack of crowds in the winter. The fishing can be as good as it gets as well when you hit the right day. Although it will be nice to hit them with the flyrod when it gets warmer and they get closer to the surface.

I just got my 8wt yesterday for Christmas, specifically for Texoma stripers and Louisiana Redfish coming up. When do you start see the topwater action. I caught a lot of small stripers and sandies in late July early August on my 6wt, but never got into the bigger fish. I put a sinking line on the 8 wt. I plan on trying to get under the birds this weekend hopefully.....

Falcotx you will need a pretty heavy grain line right now to get down to them. If you have never done much work with that sinking line it definitely cast different than a floating line! I know teeny has some lines with pretty good sink rate. They are labeled with how many feet per second they get down. Good luck hope you get into them. Formula it’s coming quick I bet I catch 2 or 3 fish in the coming months if I’m lucky lolbolt on a side note glad you got the go pro out we will definitely have to do some videos with multiple prospective and angles this year!!
