Recently replaced a battery charger with this Schumacher model. I used the 1st one also a Schumacher for 20 years. It's really comes in handy for a quick charge on batteries.
I use waterproof Battery Tenders on the boat batteries. They deliver an 800 milliamperes charge that will recharge most cranking & trolling batteries overnight for most fishing situations. A light indicates when they are charging (yellow) & fully charged (green).
Just plug in an extension cord when you come in and forget it.
The Truth is six of the seven Dwarfs are not Happy!

Why not just use a permanent mount boat battery charger?
