The ultralite float tube is 50% off if anyone is looking for a compact travel tube, at $140. Seat uses adjustable inflatable bladders, instead of foam, and straps for carrying the float tube on a person's back are a useful option. The website can be found by googling using the words CREEK COMPANY TUBES SALE.

I have no connection or interest in the company that makes the ultralite, I just think they are pretty good tubes at this sale price.

Creek Company. They came out with a new ultralite 420 tube. Unfortunately, they have no replacement bladders for the discontinued model.

Paths, I saw that the older bladders are still under the parts page, but out of stock. Unless it was a company representative that gave you the information about them being discontinued?

The price of the whole float tube is $140, just the replacement bladders would cost $160!

It was a rep that told me. I was trying to get a replacement for the right bladder.

Paths, there is a guy at Buck's bags that could probably build you a much higher quality urethane bladder, for just a few more dollars more than the listed price. But it may take 4 months or so, and after paying for the transportation cost, you may have a bill for $100. Might be better to go with a new red one for $140, if they still have any left.

u I went ahead and got one because I liked the old one. One of the changes is to the bladder valves. Don't really care for the new style as it's difficult to top the bladder off while on the water. As soon as you stop pumping, the air starts coming back out. No inside rubber stopper.

Paths, Yeah, it's impossible to top off the new valve's from your seat while on the water. Unless you ran a couple of separate tubes directly to your seat area, which isn't practical.

I think the new valves will not push back air while being filled if your valve stem is not twisted to the open position. But it is much harder to push in air using a mouth tube with the valve stem in the closed position, because of a spring forced close- that has to be forced back by mouth pressure. It would have to be done by a small pump, rather than a mouth tube.
