Chased birds all morning and the fish weren't liking our presentation. They were typically suspended from 22 down all the way to 50 FOW, but most were suspended at around 35. Finally put on an A-rig & upsized the sassy shad and started slow rolling and we started catching more. Thanks to the guys from Ft Worth for that tip! No monsters this trip but I hooked into one that stripped drag like I was hooked into a nuclear submarine... can't believe I lost that fish!

We were there as well I think I may have seen you, someone tossing a rig anyway. We experienced the same thing, marked a lot of fish but couldn't get them to cooperate. Managed a 12 lbr and some box fish(all released)but it was a good day like you said.
