Saturday fished from 7 till 2 the water was super low. It was low enough I couldn't launch at the Humble camp road ramp. I ended up driving to HWY 73 ramp. The water temp was 53 visibility was around 10" in Hillebrandt. Fished Hillebrandt the whole time caught fish on a crankbait and jig. They weren't eating the jig as good as last weekend but still managed a few on it. The best bite was on a crankbait caught several on it. The biggest three fish went 1.13, 1.13, and 1.12.

Sunday fished from 1 till 4 the bite was alot slower. The water temp was 58 visibility was 6" and the water came up 8" or better from Saturday. Caught only 5 fish all on crankbait. I didn't catch a giant 30" redfish on a jig it weight 9.13. I sure though at first I had the mother of all bass when I first hooked it. It thumped that jig like big bass do. Not till it took off did I know it was a red. Couldn't get any fish to eat a jig just found a school in one spot with the crankbait.

How secure is the ramp under the Hwy 73 bridge? I have heard lots of stories about vehicle vandalism.

I'd like to fish the bayou around there but I am reluctant to park under the bridge. Not many options.

Man I've been fishing there steady since 2010 and have never had anything taken from my truck. I've had 100' heavy duty extention cords, extra 2" receiver hitches, heck I forgot to lock my doors more than once never had anything messed with. The police patrol it alot more now and they have dressed it up nicely. It used to be bad back in the day but not anymore. If people are telling you that it's old stories.
