Hey everyone. Iím pretty new (and ignorant) to fishing. I live in Mesquite, and Iím pretty close to City Lake Park. I know they stock trout there in the winter months. Has anyone gone out to fish trout there? Iím a little skeptical of eating anything that comes out of that lake.

TPWD trout stockings are safe for consumption. You can check their website for stocking dates

welcome try looking in the bluegill section. Lots of good trout fisherman post there with lots of info on baits and presentations. Good luck and post back a report
