Have an old Torno reel and although it has held up very well to years of big red fish and not so big bass, the knobs on the handle have too much play in them. I think they have bearings in the knobs and I didn't want to start cacking with it until I got some advice. It is ready for retirement but I wanted to get it fixed first before it gets boxed and shelved.

Does anyone know how to tighten these things?

Hole in handle has probably elongated. You could try finding some type of sleeve/tube to fit over handle shaft, but would be much easier to just replace reel handle.

Thanks t-bird. I replaced it with a handle from an older reel I had. Ugly as sin but it feels so good, I may replace the drag washers and use it some more.
