I'm going to put my 03 Sabre up for sale. It comes with an 03' 150 Merc XR6. Also has two HDS 12's Gen 2 ram mounted and networked, 2 each 12' Talons, and a 112 thrust 36volt Minn Kota Fortrex. All batteries are less than two years. All new tires including spare back this summer. High pressure Goodyears with warranty. Deck and Navi lighting installed summer of 2016 including the Rigid head lamp. Motor transom bolts resealed, pump out system installed and complete livewell system replaced this summer by Rockwall Marine.

Canvas cover included but needs modified and resealed. It was just too small for the 36V Fortex I put on. I replaced the Keel Guard with a Hamby's. The lower unit oil, water pump, fuel filter, tune up and prop hub were all done in Jan. 2017. Two each two bank battery chargers. Kept in garage and wiped down after every use. The steering cables were replaced two weeks ago and turn on a dime along with a compression check. Results are 1-130 2-125 3-130 4-125 5-128 6-125.

All for 19,800.00

Let's get this baby sold - 18,800

I've put roughly 10k in it just in upgrades around two years ago give or take. Brand new talons with tilt brackets, one used and one new HDS 12 and a brand new trolling motor. HDI transducer up front for DI and SI/DI at the console from the LSS2.

She's been well taken care of and nothing compromised.

Merry Christmas folks...

I've fished out of this rig, quite a few times. Easy on the eyes, keeps you dry, smooth ride, it is a VERY VERY nicely put together rig

What I can tell you is it was rebuilt by Rockwall Marine two or three years prior to me purchasing it back in March of 2015. I bought it from Doug at Affordable Boats out of Wylie.

The first time I took it out it wouldn't load up. Cranked and idled just fine. Took it to Rockwall, they did a tune-up and it solved the problem. This past spring I went fishing with my brother on Lake Tyler. That's my home town. Anyways, we fished all day and loaded her up. While wiping her down I smelled something. Took the cowling off and noticed one of the voltage regulators burned up along with the wiring harness. I went ahead and replaced both regulators and the harness. We didn't have any issues while on the water.

She's never not cranked up or not got me where I needed to go. The motor runs very strong and is in great condition. Compression is good on all cylinders. I always use fuel treatment and she doesn't sit too long as I like to get on the water as much as I can. The best I've seen on GPS is 62. Two guys, tourney loaded and full tank 58-60. With live wells full 56-58. My water pressure at WOT is 20. I could probably get a little more our of her but I never messed around with dialing it in. I've read where some people can get up to 65-67 out of their Sabres.

I run a 23P Tempest Plus which is very common on the Sabres. Hole shot with me is instant. Two people, tourney loaded and full tank is 2-3 seconds. With live wells full is a little longer. By the way the live wells are huge and I've never lost a fish. It has an aerator system.

Guessing I would say I have put 250 hours on it give or take.

She's been a solid ride and a great boat. I get compliments all the time and when I tell people it's an 03 they can't believe it. The pictures doesn't do it any justice. The gel coat and the boat in general is in great shape especially for it's age. If I were to keep her I'd put in some new seats (15 years old but not in bad shape at all) and new bunk boards. One has a little carpet on the corner that's come off. Hasn't really even been an issue.

LOL... Sorry for the long answer to your question. cheers

Good looking Cat priced very reasonable for all the add ons & upgrades you've done. That is a boat worth looking at.!!. It'll sell pretty quickly now that hunting season is over & fishing is about to get cranked up again!!! Good nicely rigged used boat sales are fixing to pop after the boat shows are done. The price of a NEW boat is going to fuel the used market, especially the under 20K price range. It'll fish just as well as a 50K & up boat at a fraction of the cost!!!GLWS

Thanks Curtbass... I was on Cedar Creek all day yesterday. Ran that lake from one end to the other. She ran flawlessly. Wind picked up pretty good around noon for the rest of the day with some good rollers. No problem. She ate em up. Back near the ramp I opened her up. Felt good to get that lift up front and hit 60.

The only issue was the fishing was pretty horrible haha

This is correct. We had a club tournament there. She ran great with no issues. We caught a lot of fish and was lucky enough to take second.

Thanks for the kind words sir.

Did this model have the center piece that can be placed behind the storage to make it a bigger deck? Very good looking rig! Might be interested if the boat in checking out tomorrow doesn't cut it.

Also, how does she pull down major highways? Just wondering being a single axle trailer. Also, is how long is the boat? Sorry if I missed any of this anywhere

Yes they do make what's called a flipping deck and I've posted on Bass Cat Forum to buy one a long time ago and still haven't had a reply. I called Bass Cat and the problem is they changed the material they made them out of in 04 and those won't fit the 03's. The other option is to have something made but I never did that. It really never turned out to be that big of a deal. Because cats put you so far up front on the deck there's actually more room than you would think to fish behind you.

The boat is exactly 18'. It fishes very well and does pretty damn good in the rough stuff for its size. I'd be more than glad to take you out in it so you can see for yourself. It drives fine on the highways. You can do 70 with no issues whatsoever. If you like to do 75 that's fine as well but you're teetering a bit. I've done 80 at times however I don't recommend that but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Does it have the swing away tongue? If so, do you know the total storage length? Curious if it would fit in a 20 ft garage.

Doesn’t wave a swing away tongue. You need just under 22’ 5” of space with the motor trimmed down. I have a 19’ garage. I park it at an angle no problem. Being single axle it’s easy to move around.

I believe it could be converted. I never researched it so I can’t provide details.

I didn’t really want to do it because I’ve put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this boat. Talons including all the hardware are sold. Both graph transducers are sold. I still have both graphs available at the moment in a separate thread.
