I have black fuel line without any lettering running from tank to bulb and gray fuel line with "epa compliant" lettering from the bulb to engine. Both have been on there for at least six years. Do either one or both need to be changed because of a potential ethanol problem? If so with what? Running a 2000 225 merc efi.

I am converting everything to Marpac fuel assemblies. Have been seeing the blue lettered gray Merc fuel line bad. The automotive black is too light and will collapse in any bend.

Yes, lines and primer bulb need to be changed every 2 years. No product is ethanol "proof", they are "resistant".

Just Mercury/Mariner where I have found degradation. I have not changed enough Yamaha or Johnson/Evinrude to make a informed assumption. Do Yamaha's use a better grade of fuel line? Compared to the price of a powerhead, replacing fuel lines and primer bulbs is good insurance, IMHO.
