New to the area and wanted to try Possum Kingdom this weekend and had a couple questions.
Where's the best place to launch coming from Mineral Wells area?
Any areas that might be good would be greatly appreciate, not special spots but plan on targeting Stripers.
Thanks.

Your best bet would be the South D&D launch ramp. As far as fishing locations I can't help you there. I don't chase them during the daylight hours.

From mineral wells, taking 281 or 337 to 254, then 254 to 16 south, to park rd 36 you have a few ramp choices.. when you come into town on park road 36, stay straight and go down to FM2951, once on 2951 you can use the public ramp (next to bonitaville restaurant) that's puts you out close to Costello island, or keep on 2951 and use North D$D ramp, that puts you out close to peanut patch, or continue to South D&D ramp, that gives you access to bee creek, south Broadway, and Caddo creek. Or, continue on 2951 till it ends and use sandy beach ramp, that gives you short access to north Broadway area and cedar creek.
Stripes have been working from bee creek area, all way up to Costello island.

I've never been to PK but very interested in understanding seasonal patterns of stripers. Do the fish seem to hang out in those areas year round? I figured with the classic points and humps type of structure it probably would produce awesome fishing year round?

I figured with the classic points and humps type of structure it probably would produce awesome fishing year round? Read about how stripers spawn and also the water temps they prefer. Stripers move down the the lake in the summer in search of deeper/cooler water. In the winter they head up the lake towards and into the river to spawn. All the fish dont go to the river and those that do dont all go at the same time. Some stripers go into the creeks. Once the water cools off Stripers can roam just about anyplace in the lake. I know catfisherman who have been catching stripers in 3 of water 5 miles up the river. I have been catching them in Cedar Creek 25 feet down in 45 of water. They really can be anyplace at any depth this time of year.

Looks like a bunch of good advise on here on where to launch and where the fish are. Be careful with your lures in PK. PK is a flooded forest. Those 70 year old petrified cedars will eat lures faster than you can buy them. The lake is full now, so the boat lanes are all good.
Good luck to you. Post some pics of your catch.
