Back on the water today...water temp 63-66 degrees, about 4 inches low, and still pretty clear. Fished 9:30 - 3:00 with night crawlers
and fishing has really slowed from last trip. Got 3 small bass, one small catfish, & maybe 20 gils. Only one real good red ear caught around 2:00 in upper river. On the brighter side I did win the TFF photo contest for December with a shot I took of my son-in-law fly fishing the Guadalupe a few miles down from the spillway to Canyon Dam...

Wildman...Awesome carp...I saw one today, around 4 feet down that probably was 15-20 lbs. Where were you guys fishing...from boat or bank ? Whenever I go out I look for banker on the docks, but he is kinda like Santa Clause...guess u have to be in the right place at the right time...

OK...I know where u were...I didn't go quite that far down today...you were across from what I call the 3rd island. I also spent about an hour fishing jigs for crappie today. Until I actually catch a crappie in Dunlap, I will swear there are none in there !

Great report Vogey! I fished Mcqueeney a couple of times last week. Fished day before the last major cold font and the day after. Fishing was slow and the wind was strong. The sunfish I did catch were in 12 to 16 feet of water all holding by brush piles. Going to start targeting crappie more. Love fishing this time of year. woot
