If you go to a bbq get together and the host is over cooking or doesnt know what hes doing do you intervene? Or just sit back, drink beer, and play along that the food is good?

Oh man, one of my best friends has this issue, everything is like jerky, so drink a buncha beer, feed the dog under the table

If you intervene you wont have to worry about being invited again. Problem solved.

You don't have to eat it. Beer should be good so just stock up on that. Then, go home and do it your way. Don't be my a-hole BIL.

Be proactive and intervene

Unchecked, this overcooking will be passed down to his sons or copied by his neighbors.

Like a disease, it can spread. It is your duty to do what you can to stop it

I can't freakin stand someone who wants to tell me how to cook. Do it once and you won't be invited back....even if my food sucks.

Never intervene. You wouldnt want it at your house, neither does he. Just grin, drink, and bear it.

If he asks, tell him you like it rare. If not, eat it and don't worry.
