I have 2 very unscientific observations. I bought the $99 9V battery powered one to test off of my dock. Now I have a feeder so I really couldn't tell if it did anything for the bluegill my grandkids were catching. But the Cormorants would not stop pecking the speaker. I would pull it up & they would go away. Drop it down again & they came back.

The 2nd was not really an observation but a conversation I had with Chris Lane the last year the tackle show was in Mesquite. I asked him point blank. He paused for a moment & said "All I know is when KVD had the only prototype on the tour, he was dominating. Now that we all have access, the playing field has leveled a lot." He then joked that a lot of the guys that weren't sponsored had them mounted in their storage compartments so they couldn't be seen. As said above, he also agreed that if nothing else, they masked the trolling motor & the pings from the electronics.

When the FLW tour was in Hot Springs a couple of years ago, I went to the launch site. If you got there early enough, you could
take pics, get autographs etc. I did not see every boat but I would guess 40 -50% of the ones I did see had them.

I use them and they work if you are around fish. Probably worthless if you're not.
