With this latest major COLD FRONT that came through along with all of the other fronts that have blown through will the winter sunfish patterns be setting in? I personally have noticed the sunfish have been moving to the deeper water on all of the Guadalupe River lakes. My shallow water spots are not producing. I am picking up nice Bluegill on brush piles and ledges in 15 to 20 feet of water. Docks in 10 to 12 feet of water are still producing fish but not as many during the early to mid fall. Any other reports out there? Also creek and pond reports.

I have noticed the sunfish patterns changing. I fish a lot of shallow water rivers and the bite has slowed down a lot. You can still catch some Longear at the ends of fast moving flows. Shallow water weed and grass beds are not producing. The deeper pockets are producing some fish but the bite is very slow. Sunfish bite on the area creeks has slowed down a lot. Only picking up a few scattered Longear,Bluegill, and Redbreast. Creek fish are holding by brush piles and the bite is slow. As for the Guadalupe River Lakes. Getting some good results in 10 to 15 feet of water. thumb

Side Note: Have not caught a Rio in two weeks! hide2 They have gone into winter mode! peep

I know the Reds are behind the walls at the power plant lakes and are in off limit waters. First sign of winter. As for the sunfish,Bass,Crappie, and White Bass winter patterns are setting in!
