We do the exact same thing. We use nitrile tho...not latex. 6-8 mil is perfect.

I use LW cold weather grips from Wal-Mart. They're like $6 or $7. The bottom half is water proof and my hands don't get wet castnetting, or reaching in my bait bucket. It also has good grip and I can pick up shad and they don't slip. They are fleece lined and warm but not too thick.

The Glacier Gloves came in yesterday. Fit real well and somewhat thin for gloves. I think I'm gonna wait til it gets in the low 30's again, put my Arctic Armor suit and new gloves on and just go sit in the back yard!
