Need a little advise from the TTF Gurus. When fishing creeks with temps like these, how deep do you usually fish for crappie. Can someone let me know if there are any good creeks in lewisville lake? Rumor has it that Hickory creek is good. Thank you for your help and comments.

Totally depends on the location, and your fishing methods. When using floats, I fish 1.5 foot under the float at one place, and 5 feet at another place. Without float, I fish about 12 to 15 feet.

I've caught fish at all depths lately ranging from 2'-14'. It depends on that day's water temp which is varying like crazy the last few weeks as well as if it is sunny or cloudy and how clear or murky the water is. I've had to adapt to the situation on every trip, nothing consistent yet. Put in 7.2 miles in my kayak yesterday just to find em, last week I caught limits less than 200 yards from the launch site. Had multiple boats and kayaks pass me and say they didn't get a single fish. I had to try several sizes and colors of jigs. Not much help but only way to catch any is to get out there and try. Good luck.
