At 9 last night we had about an 1" and it was still snowing hard. At 5:30 this morning we have a couple of melted spots.

Actually, it snows in Austin more often than it does in Dallas. Dallas gets more ice and sleet. The Natl Weather Svc was calling for an Winter Storm Advisory for the Corpus area. Any reports?

My Cousin flew to Peoria, IL yesterday to go see family. It was 20. Funny thing is that it was only 14 degrees colder than it was in Dallas at the same time.

It's colder up here and did more damage to the plants, but they got snow all the way to Rockport and Port A.

Had about 3 inches or better on the hood of my truck this morning in League City. I was surprised it snowed as much as it did.

Glad we didnt get a hard freeze, Bird of Paradise are not cheap and we have some large ones in the back by the pool.

I'm not buying the more snow in Austin than DFW.

We get ice here that shuts everything down. The rare times that Austin gets anything, it's pretty snow. Anything that would be freezing rain / ice up here just is rain down there.

I can't ever remember Houston getting ice but I can remember snow.
