Gonna be there Sunday and Monday camping at Isle du Bois state park. Taking the boat to do some crappie fishing as well. Anyone done any good on the sound end of the lake? Plan on checking the COE piles around the area. The lack of Ray Roberts reports has he a bit worried....

I was on the lake right before thanksgiving, water temp was 59, marked one little school of fish in 32'. Fish are not on brush piles any more I don't think. Other thank that I didn't even mark another school of fish. Tough lake in winter. Best bet is to scan open water for bait balls.

Every time I go out I see boats at the bridges. I wonder how well they produce this time of the year?

Been catching crappie at Ray Roberts in deep water from 25 to 36 ft. Both jigs and minnows are producing. My last trip we had a good number of 1.5 to 2 pound fish.

Good Luck

Thank you for the reports guys, sounds like there could be a little hope! Will have our 3 and 5 year old boys in the boat with us, and while they are fairly patient for their ages, it sure does help to have some fish in the livewell so they can poke their eyeballs.... roflmao
