Tomorrow is my last chance to put my dad on fish before he goes back home to Missouri.
Today at Lavon was slow; in fact he did not get a bite.
He's okay with 43 degree weather forecast for tomorrow; but we need to find a place to fish that's somewhat sheltered from the 16mph N wind that is also forecast for tomorrow.

Suggestions on some place to fish that is protected from the North wind would be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow the wind should not get higher than 6 mph so you should be fine on Lavon. Check wunderground.com for Wylie Texas.

Theres some east-west coves on Fork, on the east fork side next to the 154 bridge you can dodge a north wind. I use the first one on your right just past the bridge.
be very carful in there its idle speed and full of structure...I follow the creek about half the way back and fish
right in the middle near some stumps just under the water,..just across from the first launch on the north side.
You can put in at the public ramp right at the 154 bridge..go slow and bundle up..
you can get all your bait, gas, and accessories at the Minnow Bucket, about 1/4 mile from the bridge going south..
be careful..

You could try the barge at lake Lewisville. I havent tried it yet but I know some people who go from time to time and have some success. http://lewisvillefishingbarge.com/

Gotta catch em' all.
I love to fish!
