When say fishing deep open water (40+ fow) by the dam whats your go to rig?
Still using jigs? Tandem rigs? Maybe upsize to 1/8 head? Minnows? If so carolina rig?
Or double set up with weight on bottom? Thanks!

On your tandem rigs, fans of 3 way swivel, dropper loop, or 2 eyed top jig? Thanks!

Dropper loop

Also, you can try that standout hook made by tru turn
Bell weight on bottom

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Mine is double jig rig with 1/4 oz on bottom and 1/16 on top. If I just fish 1 jig than it is 1/4 oz at those depths. 20 lb. braid. I just tie the top jig with a double overhand knot.

For open water, (minnows) I like the Capps and Coleman double rig. (jigs) I'm with Duck Jerky. Need some reasonable weight on the bottom to get down there....especially if there is some wind.

I usually put 3 1/8 oz jigs on the line spaced about 1' apart, more baits means more fish

These guys are probably talking about fishing the deeper water 30'+ during the winter months in open water...I'm guessing.
