Fished Saturday and Sunday the LMB bite was tough Saturday I managed one that was 3.8 and several small fish. I stopped bass fishing when I found a brushpile that was holding crappie. I caught about 15 off it only had 6 keepers. As I was leaving headed back to the ramp I noticed some fish busting shad. Naturally I stopped it was largemouth and white bass caught about 30 fish off that spot along with a flathead around 30 inches long. That sucker gave me a run for my money on 8 pound test and medium action rod.
Sunday got on the water about 2 took the kids with me in hopes they could catch some LMB and white bass like I did Saturday. Didn't take long to start hooking up on doubles of LMB on tandem rigged grubs. No real size but good to keep kids interest (along with mine) caught about 15 or so. Then the white bass showed up to play started catching them 2 at a time. Ended up catching about 20 or so white bass. All in all pretty good time. Hope to make it back again this weekend maybe twice since I'm working 4/10s. Have a great week everyone and God bless

Thank you for your reports, I also read the last one. I fished Steinhagen some before Rayburn was built. Used to be the best around here.

If I'm not fishing or hunting I'm hunting a place to fish or hunt.
