I added the stinger hooks for the larger ones for two reasons. 1 in case of short strikes and 2 it adds a lot of wiggle to the back end of the jig. These really look great in the water.

I watched some YouTube videos on steelhead and muskey flies, that's where I got the idea to use the stinger. I am using a 40lb wire, a bead, and a fish joint just like most of those flies use. I can take the stingers off or replace them.

Good looking jigs,like the stingers.You about got your money's worth out of that tape. The tape was a 30 footer that the end broke off of. I just cut up some 12" pieces of it to use for a stick measure.
