 Squaw Creek with my daughter

My 8 year old has been steadily catching sandbass all summer but she has lacked the patience to stay after the bass. She doesn't whine to go home but sits in the boat and either reads, colors, takes photos of the surroundings or otherwise occupies herself. I've been wanting her to cast, hook and land her own largemouth. Well today on Squaw Creek things finally worked out for her. I took the boat seat and that was the difference. She stayed after it and even though we only fished till 10:30, she caught five fish. They were eating her wacky worm and she had no trouble landing them.

Holy S ! She is 8 it seems like last week mine was still playing 12u softball and you just had her. (Er well your wife did) man time flies. Cherish those times man my youngest, the spunky little red head at the solo bass tournaments is 20 now and fishing is the farthest thing from her mind.
