So are the bass deeper now on Travis like the reports actually say? Any recommendations on what type of rigs to use for this time of year. Never fished for bass this time of year is the reason I ask. Thanks!

I've fished it the past 5 days. A lot of fish to be caught vertical or fan casting deep water cover. Around 4 pm they seem to be moving shallow and chasing shad. I've caught a lot on rat-l traps in shad color but they will hit red, barfish and other colors too. I caught a nice 6 lb bass last night when they moved up.

The deep bite is on but the nice weather means lots of boats on the water so that can make it tough. No wake coves or the north end are your best bets on the weekends when the weather is nice.

Good luck!
