I caught a small bonita on an aubu garcia 6500 if somebody knows how to fix it it is roasted it has brand new braided line and an upgraded handle but I've taking it apart and tried to fix it and there's something wrong with it I don't know, I honestly think that you have 2 options : bring a bunch of heavy duty gear and not even get a bite, or, bring some really light tackle and have the fish break your line. I would highly recommend that you figure out how far out y'all are going if you're going to a spot in the ocean that's 350 ft deep you need to have about 600 feet of line at least on your rod and reel that way you can drop it down to the bottom or if the fish grabs your line and he swims all the way to the bottom you don't run out of line before it breaks you off. Sorry about the comment about the spinning reel earlier I didn't read the entire thread I just thought it was another spinning rod thread but I used to look on here and I heard some people talking about the Penn spinning reel and so I got one and I mean it was a complete waste of money this sucker broke and all the line came off and all the parts came off and I think a piece of that reel got in my bilge pump and broke it too

I swear if somebody caught a tuna with that Ming Yang reel I got Ramin Yang CL 60a I would give them $50 because that is an impossible trick if you caught a tuna with that sucker would be a miracle
