My carpet on the trailer seems to wear out fast, has anyone put carpet pad under the carpet to maybe have less wear than just carpet against the boards,

Some trailer manufacturers use 12oz carpet on their bunks and that could be your problem. Use nothing less than 16oz and preferably 20oz and you should be ok. Padding won't help, it will only absorb more water.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I don’t have to go to school or work. I get an allowance every month. I don’t have a curfew I have a driver’s license,a car and I have a bass boat.

Duct tape won't fix stupid but it will muffle the sound, lol.
