Hi group -

I am headed out to Stillhouse this weekend for the first time ever. Any advice? are the fish generally shallow out there this time of year? looks like a cold front is blowing in.....is the lake wide open and able to run full throttle the whole lake?

Stay in the channel when you run the whole lake, especially in the river. I always have my best luck there flipping/pitching up in the river. Great topwater action on the main lake. Lots of grass too!

The lake is very open just stay in the channel (its wide) and you will have no issues. All the ramps are good and last week the water was clear, but if up river gets any rain the water will dirty up quickly.

Go in the river, pick your favorite craw bait in black/blue, Tx-rig it and throw it in those hardwoods. If that doesn't please you, then you can definitely catch fish on a chartreuse/white spinnerbait.
