I saw the title and was wondering what the heck? First I have ever heard of. You don't have a big black permanent marker in the boat do you?

iv caught dozens on my lake.very pretty Crappie.sometimes the stripe will run from the dorsal fin to the bottom lip! i will never eat one of them.they are just as good but its kinda like eating an albino squirrel . they are too special and beautiful to me. i always turn them loose.

Yeah I've had a lot of folks sayn " I've have caught a thousand of'em".... not sure they realize the markings on this feesh.
We have several of the normal mohawk black crappie & I've caught prolly a thousand of those but never one that was a white crappie....
The Johnson is a 115....

Nearly all we caught this year on Big Cypress and Caddo were stripped like that. Some say they are just a hybrid black/white crappie. They tasted just like regular crappie:)
