After getting some feedback on Martin Creek we're thinking that Murvaul might be a better option. A quick search on Google Earth show's that there are quite a few docks to flip which is one of my favorite ways to catch em (not as much in the Fall). Has anybody been there recently? How is to run your boat? Any sweet spots?

Went last month and the dock bite was good. Shaky head and neko rig

Deep water docks were best.

The dam was better than the docks. Get your cranking stick out and head to the damn.

Lake is not the easiest to run, It has boat lanes but they can be confusing, go slow when following them. Do not run anywhere North of the bridge

There are some boat rows. I have only been once and used a ramp near the dam and you could run partway up the lake then had to cut across to head up the bridge. Be CAREFUL if you fish near the bridge as people will just fly by you! I fished a lot of docks and then found some reeds near the dam and caught a few fish there. Good looking lake I need to go back!

Good luck!

What is a neko rig? Do you mean a Ned Rig?

Neko rig is basically wacky rig with a nail weight.

The action you get is sort of a hybrid between ned rig, wacky, and shaky

Lake is down about a foot so flipping under docks is easy. Stay in boat lane when running to bridge. Slow idle going up creeks.

To whom much is given, much is required.

I have been enjoying the dock bite...1/4 oz. weight with your favorite plastic. If cloudy try a white H&H same areas and cover water
