Anything going on? Thinking about an afternoon trip since the pleasure boaters and jet fleas are off the water.

Last week i was on Lavon and Sandies were all over the place on winded points in 5-10 ft. That said everything I caught were dinks. I fished mainly around hybrid point and the islands with similar results. On North side of Island near the eastern point that faces towards Lavonia I marked a ton of sish 5 feet off the bottom in 30 ft of water but got no bites on slabs or minnows. I will try to upload some graph pics in case anybody can identify what I was marking?

Mother load of catfish right there. The reason no bite.

The Sandies are in 1-2 ft of water right now. All day. Throw white cohos with chart tail. Got to cast no more than 12 inches from the bank as they are in 2 ft of water waiting for shad to come out off the drop offs.

The smaller Cordell silver (chrome) spoon is king right now! Any point with hard bottom is game on!

Michael Littlejohn explained that the arches with the bright red spot on the end of the arch are often catfish. The dense bone structure of the head of the catfish make that signature arch.

Ya. Michael has video on that. Sandies are usually two colors. Yellow and red. At least on the Bird.
