I thought some of you might find this interesting. I wrote a second book as a follow up to my first book High Percentage Fishing. The first book was a statistical review of 40,000 data points with the aim to help anglers increase catch rates. In the second book my goal was to catch a trophy class (double-digit) fish and document the process. Along the way I met a bunch of world class trophy anglers (many of whom are from this forum) and I wrote about my lessons learned from those folks. You can find it on Amazon under the title Lunker Lore. The first section of the book looks at just how rare trophy class fish are and the odds of catching them in each state. The second section reviews strategies for public water trophies including spawn and night fishing. The third section looks at private water fisheries and has detailed chapters on La Perla and Camelot Bell. The final section includes deep dive into George Perrys world record and wraps up with some tactical tips. Im no Hemmingway by any stretch but I thought Id let you guys know its out there. Several of the regulars on the forum are featured! Appreciate the group here on TFF and happy to answer any questions.

Lots of good sticks out there, especially on this forum. Who else from TFF did you get input from? Thought very highly of High Percentage Fishing. Just ordered a copy of Lunker Lore also.

Glad you enjoyed the first one! Ken A., Dr. JL, Bassbusster, are all in the book. These guys offered tons of useful advice. I also had a lengthy sit down with John Hope and a great conversation with Gary Schwarz down at La Perla. I think I chat with Mike Frazier out at Camelot Bell more than my wife. A few guys from CA and a few other forum guys as well. All the guys added up have well over 1000 DD's under their belts. Biggest bass out of the group goes 18lbs+!

This is right up my alley. I've only caught a few DD's but trying to catch a big one is all I really care about in regards to bass fishing.

If there isn't a chapter dedicated solely to Doug Renner, I'm not interested

This is right up my alley. I've only caught a few DD's but trying to catch a big one is all I really care about in regards to bass fishing. That's where I'm at Slade. I think it's a natural evolution of most sportsmen. You go from wanting to catch a limit. To wanting catch a quality limit. To wanting to catch a giant. When you get really old like some folks on this forum the goal then becomes teaching the young bucks how it's done. Haha. I've been the lucky beneficiary of others getting to that last stage!

I just ordered both, need some fresh reading material.
Gave my son " Endurance" last night and told him he needs to tell me about it in January!

Endurance, by Alfred Lansing is perhaps my all time favorite book. Just an incredible story! You won't go wrong with that one!
