That's some serious reading in half a day. Glad you enjoyed it!

Josh is a very talented author. I am very impressed. He put a ton of research into this book.

Got started on the book last night and am already learning! That graph that showed "chances by % of catching a 10lber by State" was really interesting as people living in some States could fish there whole lives and never come close to a DD fish.

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the book. I still haven't got a ton a feedback as it's only been released for 2 weeks. Number 1 new release in the fishing section on Amazon, so that's cool. Love to hear what you think as you guys get the book read. Shoot me a PM.

Texas fisherman are fortunate. Lifetime odds top 30% for DD bass if you stay at it. For the country as a whole its closer to 3%. Those are averages though. There are of course guys who get very good at it and wind up with a pile of giant bass.

Just pulled the trigger on both of them. I'm pretty confident in my knowledge regarding the topic and I've had some success pursuing DD bass, but I'm always anxious to learn more and you guys have convinced me these books can make that happen.

Finished up the book last night. Good read and I enjoyed it. The "court room" part where we interrogate the "world record bass" was really cool and insightful! Of all the records that are kept and that one wasn't documented worth a [censored]... also I didn't know the Japanese bass was caught on live bait! That shouldn't count!!

for that one owner to donate a lake to the TDFW is crazy!! and to think he also shocked and took over 1000 full grown fish to Falcon!

have you heard of Heartland 10/10 Ranch in east Texas? they have 4 lakes that are trophy managed and have shocked up at least 1 16lber in the last few years. My sister caught an 11lb 12oz bass there on a crank!

kinda sucks you have moved to Wisconsin but you have had the awesomeness of meeting with most of the major big bass people in the world while in Texas.

I hope that 33% chance of a DD in Texas comes true for me! :-)
