Hey everyone. Im not sure if the title was clear, but here's whats going on. Occasionally the 10 amp fuse in my pick up will blow and the trailer brakes lock up in reverse. I've checked the wires (blue), the connector plug, and the truck connector and all appear to be fine. Obviously there is an issue somewhere, has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

tmd is correct. Follow the trailer's blue wire from the connector to the solenoid looking for damage to the insulation (such as pinched to expose conductors. If you don't find something like that to explain the circuit overload, then replace the solenoid. (I've had one fail myself.)
The problem is VERY UNLIKELY to be on your truck. The reverse circuit is energized anytime the truck is in reverse, so if you had a vehicle wiring short, you'd get blown fuses even if the trailer wasn't connected.

If you have backup lights on the trailer it could be a short between the lights and the solenoid popping the fuse on the truck.
