I've been pleased with Southwest parts in Dallas for over 30 years.

Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

I took a few reels to Southwestern in Dallas (35 miles away) several years ago, for cleaning/luricating and any possible repairs right after I had used them and 2&1/2 months before I was going to be using them again in salt water. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks for them to get them done. I hadn't heard back from them 2 weeks before I was to go so I called them and they said they'd be ready in a week. So one week before I'm to go I call them again and am now told they don't work on those reels because they can't get parts. For Okumas? Can't even clean them? Mother --ck. I drive the 35 miles each way and got the reels back from them and went fishing with them as they had been and after a couple of days 2 of them froze up and I went and bought new one's while on the coast. I now send all my reels to Kevin Smith at Shamrock Rod and Reels in Burleson, TX. His web site is: shamrockrods.com. His email is: shamrockrods@gmail.com and his phone # is: 817-219-3049. He is quick, reliable, reasonable, and even pays for the return postage. I'll never go back to Southwestern due to my experience there.
