Time to replace my current tacklebag and looking for suggestions. I carry 3 of the med sized plastic boxes inside and have assorted stuff in the sides and front pocket. Needs to fit inside a 12" X 18" crate. Any suggestions?

Make handles for your crate and put a lid on it. Forget about the bag. I made my crate from an Itso cube, made handles from paracord, and made a lid from MDPE sheet and zip ties. If you have a good crate, but no lid, send me a PM and I'll make a lid for it. I still have some of the the 1/8" thick polyethelene sheet. It is white.

This is my crate. No need for a bag, although I do have bags.

I was thinking the same thing. You only need a couple plastic boxes of lures and a gallon Ziplock plastic bag for holding soft plastics in the original bags.

I ditched my tackle bag a few years ago and am much happier. Just use plastic boxes and bags in my crate.

I use tackle bags for storing and transporting gear, but when I'm on the water I just toss which boxes I'm going to use in my crate. I mostly keep my soft plastics in binders (saltwater) or speed bags (freshwater).

Exactly. I have a few bags that I use for different trips. I fine tune the bag's contents for the specific trip, then I pull out what I need now and put it in the crate. None of my bags will fit in my crate, and it is a big crate.

Hahaha!!! That is the original Wilderness AirPro High seat for the Ride 115 and 135. I leaned back on it and it folded right above the pivot. I got irritated with the fact that I could buy a replacement seatback for every other seat they make, but I had to buy the cover and all for that particular seatback. Over $50. I cut the seatback just above the pivot and shoved 2 ea.-3/4" square tubes down in it as far as they would go. Then I shoved the seatback down on the tubes and took some measurements. I cut the tubes off, and put it all together with self drilling screws. It's as good as any seat I've tried in a kayak. I'm 6'4", and it comes right up to my shoulder blades. I can sit in it all day. I like it so much that I cut off the seat back on my low seat and did the same thing. When I get off of the Lower Mountain Fork after fishing all day, I'm tired, but my back doesn't ache.
