I know people ask what the best is often but what do y'all think the best rain suit is that's not the top dollar gear? I'm wanting to get my dad some for Christmas. He's really a fair weather fisherman and doesn't do the cold or rain enough to justify a top dollar gore tex suit. I had a gander mtn suit but it didn't last very good. The H2O express suits don't look to bad. Is there any good black Friday deals or thoughts on a good suit for close to $300

I do have the 100MPH gear but have used many times the H20 from Academy and they are good as well. Just buy one size bigger so that your fully covered. It also allows for winter clothes to go underneath.

IMO, The "Huk Packable rain gear" is pretty nice for "fair" weather ( 65+ degrees ) https://www.hukgear.com/collections/rain-gearI have both the Simms ProDry and the Huk set. For $200 ( $100 for the Jacket/ $100 for the pants ) the HUK set is really nice. Good Luck!

Thanks guys. Looking at the frabil f2 or f3 the sizes are very limited and I can't find the right size.

Not that the BPS 100 mph suit is reasonably priced but it is a great suit if the weather is below 65 degrees. It is a little heavy and after wearing it all day you can feel it in your shoulders. I wore mine with some layers underneath on our ski trip to Montana last spring. We rode snowmobiles on a day that the high temp was 15 and I was never cold. Sorry for the pic. It was a really steep mountain. LOL I wear a Columbia rain suit on days when it is warmer than 65.

Whats the difference in the 100mph or comparable suits and ski bibs? The BPS 100 mph suit and Cabelas Guidewear is equal. If you watch Cabelas online you can sometimes get it for half price.

Look in the bargain cave at Cabelas online. Sometimes they have last years models for half price. Ask me how I know that!!! Whats the difference in the 100mph or comparable suits and ski bibs? The BPS 100 mph suit and Cabelas Guidewear is equal. If you watch Cabelas online you can sometimes get it for half price.
