Last time out the motor refused to have anything to do with team work above 3900 rpm. Just a bunch of misbehaving, missing and stalling and stuff, ran fine below 3900. Came home and replace the factory fuel filter ( gas in bowl looked cloudy with a few drops of water ) and added a fancy schmancy racor. Took it out today, smooth as a baby's butt. Ran several times up to wot for a few minutes. All happy now. I hate ethanol. Gas was not that old.

gas in bowl looked cloudy with a few drops of water, quote. You had water in the fuel!

Untreated ethanol gas in a boat fuel tank can easily go bad inside 30 days.

While you are at it, replace fuel lines from tank to fuel pump and replace primer bulb with ethanol resistant MARINE fuel line.
