Got on the water after lunch today. Started catching them on shallow docks and laydowns in the backs of creeks pitching a jig as well as on a Texas rigged craw.
Worked my way back into a small pocket that had gator grass with a lot of irregular edges etc and just had a guy feeling to dig out a hollow body frog.Took about 2 casts before it paid off.
Needless to say it made for a fun afternoon. No big fish but enough bites to keep it fun. Tried moving out a bit deeper with no luck. Changed up baits without getting bit also. Went back to the frog and ended the day with a fair number of bites. Sometimes Fork bass make no sense. Cold front, north wind and November and they want frogs... hmmm breakdance

Good report Mark on a bad weather day. I went yesterday under perfect weather conditions and spent most of the day fishing brush piles in 12-15 FOW, creek bends and points and never got a nibble. Once again I saw cows laying down on the way but despite their ominous warning went anyway. Guess I'll never learn. Been hearing about animal spirits and I guess they were in play. Even the boats tied up under the bridge finally gave up and left.

I was referring to hunting real frogs mark..alot easier to catch them when it's cold.

Si senor!

And I had an outstanding day on frogs on Rayburn Saturday. 72 degree water. 25-30 fish.

Amazing how different we are. We went up shallow and caught a few small fish on a top water and chatterbait, then got out in 25 ft and started catching more and better ones. Just goes to show theres always more than one way to put a good day together.
