Due to being crazy booked weeks in advance this year we're doing our annual Veterans Day trip in the afternoon on Monday, November 13. We have one boat with two seats open ,one boat with 3 seats open and one other boat available. 4 boats are already booked full. Seats for active and retired veterans are $60 per seat. These trips are always great fun and just a small way for us to give back to you for your service. Please call the office 903-786-4477 to reserve your seat ASAP. Look forward to seeing the repeat guys and some new faces.

Chris, I'm coming - in one of the 4 boats already booked - and looking forward to meeting you. As a Viet Nam vet, I appreciate you doing this for those who have served our great country. Dennis

What a great day! I was lucky enough to be the only person in the boat with John and we had a great time! We caught well over our limits with most fish 18" and larger. The only ones we kept were the ones that were gut hooked and bleeding, the rest we threw back. Thanks John, you did a great job!! It was also a joy to see a guide who had a chance to catch fish since I was the only client on his boat. Fun day!

I want to thank Chris for the opportunity to fish Texoma for stripers for the 1st time. Also, want to thank TFFers Larry (Lenahorse) and Ed (etu) for inviting me to go way back in September. In addition to meeting Chris, I got to meet Charlie - their friend who makes and sells baits. He gave me a couple of Mepps replicas to try.
We got out on the water at 2:15 PM and went straight to surfacing fish with birds working them. We all started to catching fish immediately. We did this for about an hour and a half. Then Chris took us to fish some shoreline structure, where some of the bigger (30+ inches) stripers hang out. We caught several over 20 inches but the largest was 24 inches caught by Larry. Chris caught an impressive 18 inch white bass on a rocky shoreline point. We fished the shoreline in several spots til it was almost dark then headed to the dock. We caught well over a hundred fish.
The other guys were using big white Sassy Shads with heavy jig-heads. Chris was a master at this. He would make long casts then reel-twitch, reel-twitch, etc. I would estimate he caught half our fish. I started out fishing Mepps #4 and caught fish. I tried switching to the Sassy Shad but couldn't get the knack of it and switched back to Mepps. Near the end of the trip I tried the Sassy Shad again and finally caught a fish on it. I ended up with about 20 fish - all but the one on #4 Mepps.
Thanks again, guys - I had a great time. It's great fishing with friends, and I enjoy the challenge fishing new places and observing (wish it was learning) how others catch fish.

Yeah you fish bigT differently than other lakes we fished before, DC. Glad you finally tried Texoma. It's pretty up there. Was planning all week to Fish bigT today or tomorrow but this crazy wind for both days is a no go
