Lake worth is pretty good for both carp and buffalo. Same for the Trinity river if you can find access.

Chisholm park in hurst has commons up to 20-25lb range. Cut hot dogs or night crawlers on a circle hook. I catch them almost every time I go there on accident; trying to catch channel cats. In the afternoons they are making books out to about 30 feet off the dock thing they have out there.
