II still have many Xcalibur baits, some one knnockers mostly regular running. I like the 1/4, 5/8, 3/4 and 1 oz in their baits, depending on where I throw it. Since Pradco bought them out, they are not the same lures and the same colors. Sorry, none are for sale. I bought over 100 from Cabelas when they had them on for $2.00. Wish I could tell you where to buy some, but they aer HARD to come by, now. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. OH, favorite colr was either Toledo Gold or Rayburn Red.

Imo it's more about presentation with lipless baits. I know guys who crush them on regular ol rattletraps but they know where, when and how to present them. I'd get you some 1/2 or 5/8oz and some 3/4 for deeper applications. Can't go wrong with rattle trap, yo zuri rattling vibe, or strike king. Get some shad patterns and some red craw.

3/4 and 1oz. original One Knockers. Hand painted by Eric Gandy. The red and orange crawfish patterns and the threadfin shad always produce for me.

Chrome blue-backed original Rattletraps never stopped working! This, along with the chrome/black back (both in the 3/4 oz size), plus the 1/2 oz 520C sexy chrome, 383 Z chrome, or 320C Chartreuse flash for clear water.

Rayburn Red, Toledo Gold, Sexy Shad, and Chrome/blue. I have a mix of Cotton Cordells and one knockers, a few 1/4 oz but primarily 1/2 and 3/4oz for me.

Do you guys notice any benefit to ones using an oval line tie over a traditional split ring?

Do you guys notice any benefit to ones using an oval line tie over a traditional split ring? The difference I notice is that I haven't had an oval split ring cut my line. Oval rings have the cut gap to one side. Your line/knot will always settle to one end of the ring, away from the cut gap that can nick your line, causing failure when you load up on a good fish or a snag. Ovals negate the need to insure the knot doesn't settle on top of the ring gap where it can be damaged by the ring.

I've been catching fish on a 5/8 6th sense, gold/blue gill color (not sure what they call it). I might have to check out some of these on this thread though!
