Again thats what I was told from a person that installs them. I didnt make the claim... If silicone was used, then maybe or if a really fast drying epoxy that was filled with air bubbles was used. Need a slow drying epoxy that lets all air bubbles dissipate before it dries. Not sure why Im writing this, because nobody ever listens.

All I know is; when I back off to 60 MPH that boat better be giving me a reading of depth while also using the map. If not it is going to someone that knows their stuff. I have only had one Skeeter that the dept fell out and it was fixed. Don't have a clue what they did in Odessa; but never had another problem.

Mine will read until about 60, then the hull starts to lift. If I'm worried about the depth, I don't need to be running any faster.

You might want to check to see if your transducer is still glued down correctly. Mine wasn't getting good signal at speed, and I found that it had come un-glued from the hull. While mine was back there not glued down well, I noticed it did better if there was a little water in the hull.
I also think that the quality of the water affects the signal as well. Mine reads well on Rayburn and T-Bend, but doesn't show well in the mud of Livingston.
