Congratulations to Clayton aka wildman of the navidad on his pending record Rio Grande Cichlid. The fish was caught on Saturday 10-28-17 and brought to the weigh station this Sunday afternoon. The certified weight of the fish was 1.15 Lbs beating the old record of 1.05 Lbs set back in April of 2006. Paper work was completed and will be sent to the Texas Parks&Wildlife for their review and approval. Again Congratulations Clayton on a super fish and your pending record. Weighing record fish. It just don't get any better!

Congratulations Wildman of the navidad. Nice fish! I have noticed a lot of fishing pressure on that creek. Lot of houses going up in that area. Hope the fishing stays good.

There is a ton of pressure on that creek between springbranch and I-10 i rarely fish it above I-10 not because the fish aren't there more so because someone's usually in your spot or your spot is trashed out if a man can find some where to put in a kayak he could have a field day all the way to the San Antonio

Congrats I put my boat in there a couple weeks ago at Schaefer. There was not much water and an absurd amount of grass, it was enough to be a problem. Could only make it maybe 1/4miles downstream until it became a "walking"only fishery. I'd like to find an access point with more water to fish that creek.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Thanks fitz and theres a lot of places south of SA that have a lot more water and quite a few more crossings where Some one could actually paddle somewhere it gets more river like the further south you go....

Congratulations Wildman of the navidad. Nice fish! I have noticed a lot of fishing pressure on that creek. Lot of houses going up in that area. Hope the fishing stays good. There is a ton of fishing pressure at Crescent Bend. I am surprised that the fishing is still good there!
