I need a fish finder for a Pelican Bass Raider 10E, a ten foot boat. I want down scan in order to clearly see bottom structure and have narrowed it down to either a Lowrance Hook 4X Fishfinder with HDI skimmer transducer, or a Hummingbird PiranhaMAX 4 DI Somar. I do not need maps or features to mark waypoints or to get me home.

Do any of you have experience with these sonar units? I would greatly appreciate comments. Tight lines.
